Elza Wandler launched her namesake brand in late 2017. Born in Limburg, Netherlands, she studied fashion at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. After having worked for a major global fashion brand she took her design, merchandising and branding experience to launch her namesake brand in 2017, built from scratch in just two months. Spotting a market gap for round bags, Wandler made her debut with the Hortensia bag.

Wandler’s bags are made in Italy by family owned factories, whose impressive quality and craftmanship fits the sculptural yet unconventional Wandler aesthetic – they’re considered an important part of the business, as well as part of the Wandler family.

Wandler only uses by-product hides of Italian and French origin (which are never exotic) and works with ethically-sound, trusted partners throughout the production process – meaning the making of their contemporary leather pieces doesn’t negatively impact carbon footprint. Wandler defines functional, modern design with a refreshing, ethical approach.
